THE BRIEF
The Brief Was Bigger Than A Website
Holiday Lodge Hub did not need a template with a few booking forms bolted on. The client wanted a platform: a marketplace where holiday makers could book with confidence and owners could join without feeling boxed in by high fees or unclear processes.
The challenge was to keep the experience simple while supporting the moving parts that make holiday bookings work: availability, deposits, balances, messages, reviews, owner onboarding, payments, and business oversight.
FOXCR8’s role was to design and build the product end to end, with enough craft for guests, enough control for property owners, and enough flexibility for the business owner to keep growing the service.

Before writing the product story, we listened to the pain points behind it. Guests want clarity before they pay. Owners want fair access to bookings without handing away control. The business owner needs a system they can trust, support, and improve over time.
That shaped the build. Low fees and transparent payments were not treated as marketing lines; they became part of the booking flow. Owner tools were not an afterthought; they became a core area of the product. Guest confidence was supported through account access, rich lodge information, reviews, maps, messaging, and clear payment stages.
The result is a product that feels easy on the surface because the complexity is handled underneath.

FOXCR8 built a completely bespoke marketplace application for Holiday Lodge Hub, pairing a Laravel API with a modern Next.js front end. It is not a theme, plugin stack, or repurposed directory site. It is a purpose-built product for holiday lodge bookings.
The platform connects guest booking journeys, owner dashboards, payments, messaging, reviews, property content, calendars, pricing, and admin oversight in one joined-up system.
That matters because the business can now move beyond a single-lodge showcase and operate as a growing marketplace, while still giving users a clear, fast, easy experience on every device.
